Alex is a teacher who lives in Arizona.

You + I = We
singular plural+ You a student=We

 

Teacher Alex says:

Jennifer and I live in the United States. She lives in Texas. I live in Arizona. She is a student. I am a teacher. We are both online. (both = 2)

Jennifer says:

Teacher Alex and I live in the United States. He lives in Arizona. I live in Texas. He is a teacher. I am a student. We work together online.
