  • What’s your favorite season and why?

My favorite season is spring! It’s the time when everything comes back to life after a long winter. The flowers start to bloom, the trees turn green, and the air feels so fresh and clean. I love to walk in the park and enjoy the sunshine.

  • Are there any special traditions associated with different seasons in your country? Explain. 

We have many special traditions for different seasons in Iran! Nowruz (New Year): This is the biggest holiday in Iran and it marks the start of spring.  We celebrate with family and friends, decorate our homes with special decorations, and have a big feast with traditional foods.

Yalda Night: This is a special night in late December when we celebrate the longest night of the year. We gather with family and friends, eat special foods like watermelon and pomegranates, and tell stories and read poetry.

  • Have you ever been caught in bad weather? If so, what did you do?

Yes, I’ve been caught in bad weather a few times. One time, I was walking home from school when a sudden storm came. The wind was so strong that it knocked over a tree! I had to run to find shelter and wait for the storm to pass.

  • What crops are produced in which seasons in your country?

Iran has a wide variety of crops that are grown in different seasons.  Here are a few examples:

Spring:  Wheat, barley, fruits like oranges and apricots, and vegetables like spinach and onions.

Summer: Watermelon, cantaloupe, tomatoes, cucumbers, and many other fruits and vegetables.

Autumn: Grapes, pomegranates, and dates.

Winter: Citrus fruits like oranges and lemons.

  • Do you have any weather-related superstitions? Explain. 

Some people in Iran believe that if you see a rainbow, it’s a sign of good luck. They also say that if you see a shooting star, you should make a wish!

  • Do you know any interesting myths or stories about weather? Explain. 

There are many myths and stories about weather in Iran. One famous story is about the “Simorgh” (a mythical bird).  Legend says that the Simorgh is a wise and powerful bird that can control the weather.

  • Do you like snow? Why or why not?

I love snow! It’s so beautiful and peaceful. I enjoy playing in the snow and making snowmen.

  • Which do you like better: hot weather or cold weather? Why? 

I like hot weather more than cold weather. I love swimming in the ocean and spending time outside.

  • Do you think that in recent years we are losing our four distinct seasons? Explain. 

Yes, I think we are losing our four distinct seasons in some areas.   The weather patterns seem to be changing, and we’re having more extreme weather events like heat waves and droughts. I hope things don’t change too much.

  • What is the best season to get married? Why?

Many people in Iran believe that spring is the best season to get married. They say that it’s a time of new beginnings and hope.
