Conversation Questions about Memories
1- Do you like spending time at home? Explain.
I do enjoy spending time at home. It gives me a chance to relax, unwind, and focus on hobbies like reading or watching shows. Home feels like a personal comfort zone. I also like organizing and redecorating my space once in a while. That quiet and calm atmosphere is something I really value after a busy day.
2- Where have you lived before? Who do you live with?
I’ve lived in a few different places, mostly around the city and a small town when I was younger. Right now, I live with my family. It’s nice having people around for support and company. It can get a bit noisy at times, but it’s comforting. We’ve all found our own rhythm, so it works well.
3- When you were a child, did you have to share a bedroom with your siblings? Did you like it or did you want your own room?
Yes, I used to share a room with my sibling when I was a kid. At first, it was fun having someone to talk to before sleeping. But as we grew older, I started wishing for my own space. I liked decorating and organizing things my own way. So when I finally got my own room, it felt like a little upgrade in life.
4- Which part of town do you live in? What are good and bad areas to live in your town?
I live in a quieter part of town, a bit away from the hustle of the city center. It’s peaceful and safe, which I really appreciate. The good areas here are usually near schools, parks, and grocery stores. Some bad areas tend to have traffic issues or are too crowded. Overall, it’s a balanced place to live.
5- What would be your ideal living arrangement? Why?
My ideal living arrangement would be a cozy apartment with enough space for work and rest. I’d prefer something minimal and modern with good natural lighting. It should be easy to maintain and located near public transport and basic amenities. Living alone sounds peaceful, but I wouldn’t mind a housemate if we click well. The goal is a space where I feel completely myself.
6- What part of your country would you ideally like to live in? Why?
Ideally, I’d love to live near the coast, maybe somewhere like Penang. I enjoy the mix of city life with nature and history. The food, culture, and laid-back lifestyle are a big plus. It feels vibrant yet relaxing, which suits my personality. I think I’d feel really inspired living there.
7- If you could buy land and build your dream house, what would it look like? Can you describe it?
If I could build my dream house, it would be a modern two-story home with big windows and a small garden. I’d want a lot of natural light and open space inside. The house would be eco-friendly, with solar panels and a rainwater collection system. I’d love a cozy reading nook and maybe even a little indoor greenhouse. It should feel peaceful, warm, and creative.
8- How many and what rooms would it have? How big would they be?
It would have 3 bedrooms, 1 guest room, a study room, a spacious kitchen, and a comfy living area. Each room wouldn’t need to be huge, just well-designed with smart storage. The master bedroom would have a balcony, and the kitchen would be open-plan with an island counter. The living room would be a space for relaxing and movie nights. A small patio or garden outside would be the cherry on top.
9- Do you prefer to own a large house in one city or own three small apartments in three cities? Why
I think I’d prefer to own three small apartments in three cities. I like the idea of having different places to escape to depending on my mood or work needs. It also gives me a chance to explore and experience different environments. A large house is nice but can feel a bit too permanent. Variety feels more exciting and flexible.
10- How would you decorate the inside of your home? Describe
I’d go for a minimalist yet cozy style with neutral colors, wooden textures, and soft lighting. I’d mix modern furniture with some handmade or vintage pieces. Plants would be everywhere for a calming vibe. I’d also hang a few meaningful art prints or photos around. The idea is to make it feel personal, warm, and inspiring.
