1- What is your definition of cheating? Why do you see it that way?

In my view cheating is when someone deliberately breaks rules or lies to gain an unfair advantage. I see it this way because it involves dishonesty and usually affects others negatively. It can happen in school, relationships, work, or games. At its core, cheating is a shortcut that skips effort and fairness. It goes against the values of trust and hard work.

2- Have you ever cheated? If so, what led you to make that choice?

Yes, I’ve made small mistakes in the past, like copying a friend’s homework in school. It usually happened because I felt stressed or unprepared. I didn’t want to disappoint anyone or fall behind. Looking back, I realize it wasn’t the right choice. It taught me that short-term fixes don’t help in the long run.

3- Why do you think that people cheat? Explain

People often cheat because they’re under pressure, afraid of failure, or want quick success. Some may think “everyone’s doing it,” so it feels okay. Others might lack confidence in their abilities. In relationships, it could stem from emotional gaps or lack of communication. In general, it comes from wanting something without earning it.

4- Have you ever cheated in an exam? If yes, what were the circumstances?

Yes, once during a pop quiz in school, I peeked at a neighbor’s paper. I hadn’t studied and panicked. It was a careless decision made in the moment. I felt guilty right after and promised myself not to do it again. Since then, I’ve worked harder to prepare.

5- Have you ever been caught cheating on an exam? If so, what were the consequences and what did you learn from the experience?

Thankfully, I wasn’t caught, but the fear and guilt stayed with me. That emotional weight was more than enough. It made me realize that even if you don’t get punished, you still lose self-respect. I learned that preparation and honesty are worth more than any grade. It’s a lesson that stuck with me.

6- If you had a chance to cheat now, would you take it? Why or why not?

No, I wouldn’t. Cheating may bring a quick win, but it doesn’t build confidence or lasting success. I’ve learned that facing things honestly feels better and helps you grow. It’s more satisfying to know I achieved something through my own effort. Also, cheating can damage trust if you’re caught.

7- In what situations do people usually cheat? Can you elaborate.

People often cheat in exams, games, relationships, or jobs. It usually happens when stakes are high, like passing a test, getting a promotion, or keeping someone’s love. If they feel desperate, insecure, or unsupported, cheating can seem like the only way out. But those choices often lead to bigger problems later.

8- Have you ever been cheated on by somebody else? How did it make you feel?

Yes, I’ve experienced that in a friendship where someone lied and broke trust. It made me feel hurt, confused, and disappointed. I questioned what I did wrong, even though it wasn’t my fault. Eventually, I realized that trust, once broken, is hard to rebuild. It taught me to be more careful with who I trust.

9- Describe a time when you cheated and it helped you.

In the short term, copying answers on a homework assignment once helped me avoid getting a zero. But honestly, it didn’t help me learn anything or improve. It felt like a win at the time, but in the long run, it held me back. That kind of help doesn’t last or build real skills.

10- Do you think if people stopped cheating the world would be a better place? Why or why not?

Yes, I believe the world would be better if people stopped cheating. There’d be more fairness, trust, and respect in every area such as education, relationships, work. People would succeed based on effort, not shortcuts. It would make systems more reliable and help everyone feel safer and valued.

11- What do you think of people who cheat in their relationships? Explain

I think it’s really hurtful and unfair. Relationships are built on trust, and cheating breaks that foundation. It shows a lack of respect for the other person’s feelings. Sometimes people cheat instead of communicating their issues, which just creates more pain. It’s better to be honest even if that means ending things.

12- What do you think can be done to prevent cheating? How?

I think that clear rules, open communication, and support systems can help prevent cheating. In schools, teaching students about ethics and giving them proper guidance helps. In relationships, building trust and talking about problems early on can prevent betrayal. Also, reducing pressure and promoting healthy competition is key.

13- What are some things you can do to prevent cheating? What personal strategies would you use to stay honest?

I try to stay prepared, manage my time, and ask for help when I need it. Being honest with myself about what I can or can’t do also helps. I remind myself of the long-term consequences of cheating. Having clear values and surrounding myself with supportive people keeps me grounded.

14- What would you do if you saw someone cheating? How would you handle the situation?

It depends on the situation. If it’s a close friend, I’d talk to them privately and ask why they felt the need to cheat. If it’s something serious, like in an exam, I might report it if it’s fair to do so. I believe in giving people a chance to explain but also holding them accountable.
