Word of the Day: Float
A thing that floats rests on a surface or seems to be unsupported. There are many different things that can float under certain circumstances in the air, on water, and in space.
- A balloon floats in the air.
- A boat floats on the water.
- A bobber also floats on the water. When a fish takes your bait, the bobber stops floating.
- People can float on a raft.
- People float in space. This astronaut is floating.
