(“Against” sometimes means “in contrast.”)
5. She gets angry when something goes against her beliefs.
(“Go” is often used before “against” when describing disagreement.)
6. He protested against government spending on the military.
(“Against” is often used when someone is in opposition to something.)
7. A building developer wants to cut down this tree and build a new Walmart, but this protester is against it.
