One of these sentences describes someone who makes money; the other sentence describes someone who makes bread. Which one is it? The word “dough” is a noun. Dough is what you get when you mix flour, water, salt, and yeast when making bread. However, “dough” is also slang for money.
- She made a lot of dough at her job last year. Someone told me it was over $300,000. (dough = money)
- What kind of dough should we use to make a pizza? (dough = stuff for making bread.)
