• At this stage of your life, are you beginning to make plans for your retirement years? Why or why not?

Honestly, I’m not really focusing on retirement plans at this stage of my life. I’m still young, and there’s so much I want to achieve in my career. Plus, the Iranian pension system isn’t exactly the most reliable, so I know I’ll need to plan for my future carefully. But, it’s definitely something I’ll start thinking about more seriously in a few years.

• What would be a perfect retirement for you? Explain. 

If I could design my perfect retirement, it would involve a lot of travel! I’d love to explore different countries and cultures, learn new languages, and maybe even take some photography courses. I also imagine myself spending more time with my family and friends, enjoying leisurely activities, and pursuing my hobbies.

• Ranging from 1-10, 10 being the highest, how would you rate your career? Why?

I’d probably rate my career a solid 8 out of 10. I’m really enjoying my work as an employee, and I’m constantly learning new things. It’s challenging and rewarding, and I feel like I’m making a real contribution.

• Where would you like to spend your retirement years? Why?

I’d love to spend my retirement years in a peaceful place with beautiful scenery. Maybe somewhere in northern Iran near the Caspian Sea or in a charming village in the mountains. The fresh air and natural beauty would be so calming.

• During retirement, where would you like to stay, in the city or in the province? Why?

I think I’d prefer to live in a province during retirement. I love the peace and quiet of smaller towns. I wouldn’t mind being close to a city, but I wouldn’t want to live in one.

• Do you intend to look for another job after you retire? Why?

I don’t think I’d be looking for another job after retirement. I’d like to dedicate myself to enjoying my newfound freedom and pursuing my passions. However, I might volunteer for a cause I care about, just to stay active and engaged.

• In one word, how would you describe your career? Why?

In one word, I’d describe my career as “fulfilling”.  It allows me to use my skills and creativity, and it gives me a sense of purpose.

• Would you like to spend the rest of your life in another country? Why or why not ?

I wouldn’t mind spending some time living abroad during retirement, maybe in a country with a Mediterranean climate. But, I’d also want to spend a good amount of time in Iran with my family and friends.

• In your culture, do the children have to support their parents financially after they retire?

In Iranian culture, it’s very common for children to support their parents financially after retirement. It’s seen as a duty and a sign of respect.

• Would you like to live together with your children even if they are already married? Why or why not?

I think I’d prefer to live independently, even after retirement. I love my children, but I also value my own space and privacy. However, I’d definitely want to visit them often and spend quality time together.
