Possessive Pronouns

My shirt is red.

پیراهن من قرمزه.

It’s mine.

اون مال منه.

(It’s my shirt.)

(این پیراهن منه.)

Yours is blue.

مال تو آبیه.

(Your shirt is blue)

(پیراهن تو آبیه)

He’s not wearing his.

او لباسش رو نمی پوشه.

(He’s not wearing his shirt.)

(او پیراهنشو نپوشیده.)

Hers is blue.

مال او آبیه.

(Her shirt is blue.)

(پیراهن او آبیه.)

The strawberry is red.

توت فرنگی قرمزه.

Its skin is red.

پوست اون قرمزه.

(“Its” is hard to use as a possessive pronoun. It’s often better to use the possessive adjective instead.)

(استفاده از “its” به عنوان ضمیر ملکی دشواره. اغلب بهتره به جای اون از صفت ملکی استفاده کنین.)

اون لباس فرمت عالیهو

My dog is brown.

سگ من قهوه ایه.

Theirs are gold.

مال (سگ) اونها طلایه.

Note: it’s also possible to say, “Theirs is gold,” if they have just one dog.

توجه: اگر فقط یک سگ داشته باشن، می تونیم بگیم: “مال اونها طلایه”.

A possessive pronoun is singular or plural depending on the antecedent. An “antecedent” is the word or words to which the pronoun refers.

ضمیر ملکی بسته به اسم مقدم مفرد یا جمعه. «اسم مقدم» کلمه یا کلماتین که ضمیر به اون اشاره داره.
