زیاد / بعضی / هر
These words are used with count and non-count nouns.
این کلمات با اسامی قابل شمارش و غیرقابل شمارش استفاده می شن.
a lot of = many or much
There is a lot of traffic on one side of the street.
در یک طرف خیابان ترافیک زیادی وجود داره.
There are a lot of cars on one side of the street.
در یک طرف خیابان ماشین های زیادی وجود دارن.
A lot of traffic = many cars
ترافیک زیاد = ماشین های زیاد
not a lot of = not many or not much
There isn’t a lot of traffic on the other side.
از طرف دیگر ترافیک زیادی وجود نداره.
There are some cars but not very many.
چند ماشین هست اما خیلی زیاد نیست.
(some = a relatively small amount but “some” is not easy to quantify or equate to a particular number.)
(بعضی = مقدار نسبتاً کمی است، اما “بعضی” به راحتی نمی تونه کمیت یا معادل یک عدد خاص باشه.)
There were a lot of people at the beach yesterday.
دیروز جمعیت زیادی در ساحل بودند.
There aren’t a lot of people at the beach today.
امروز افراد زیادی در ساحل نیستند.
There aren’t many people at the beach today. There are some but not many.
امروز افراد زیادی در ساحل نیستند. تعدادی هستند اما زیاد نیستند.

Use “any” with negatives and questions.
از “any” در موارد منفی و سوالات استفاده کنید.
There isn’t any traffic in the street.
هیچ ترافیکی در خیابان وجود نداره.
There aren’t any cars. (not any = 0)
هیچ ماشینی وجود نداره (نه هیچ = 0)

آیا کسی رو می بینی؟
A lot, some, and any are used with indefinite amounts:
بسیاری، برخی و هر کدام با مقادیر نامحدود استفاده می شون:
Example:
Q: How many students are there in the classroom:
س: چند دانش آموز در کلاس وجود دارن:
A: There are a lot. (This is a large number). Or….
ج: تعداد زیادی وجود دارن. (این عدد بزرگ است). یا….
A: There are some students. (This is a small number but the number is not known.) Or….
ج: تعدادی دانشجو هستن. (این عدد کمی است اما تعداد آن مشخص نیست.) یا….
A: There aren’t any students. (This is zero or a very, very small number and the number is not known.)
پاسخ: هیچ دانشجویی وجود نداره. (این عدد صفر یا یک عدد بسیار بسیار کوچکیه و عدد آن مشخص نیست.)
